Planning Environmental Impact Assessment Ordinance

The first chapter is

Article 1 in order to strengthen the environmental impact assessment on planning work, improve the scientific planning, the prevention of environmental pollution and ecological damage from the source, to promote the overall coordination of economic, social and environmental sustainable development, according to the "law" PRC Environmental Impact Assessment, the enactment of this ordinance.

The specific scope in accordance with the provisions of the first paragraph of this article shall conduct environmental impact assessment of the planning, by the competent department of environmental protection under the State Council together with the relevant departments under the State Council to draft, submitted to the State Council for approval before implementation.

The people's governments at or above the county level and the relevant departments thereof shall be required for the planning environmental impact assessment data to realize information sharing.

Sixth of any units and individuals for major adverse environmental effects act in violation of the regulations on planning or produced in the process of implementation, have the right to report to the examination and approval organ of planning, planning authority or the competent department of environmental protection. Upon receipt of the report the relevant departments, shall investigate and deal with according to law.
