Description: also known as white phosphorus. Yellow-white, waxy, with shiny solid, insoluble in water, but soluble in carbon disulfide and halides of phosphorus. 35 c in the air can spontaneously combust. Storage and transportation should be stored in water. Very toxic, its vapor in the maximum allowable concentration in the air is 0.00003mg/l.
uses: mainly used in the production of red phosphorus, phosphoric acid and a variety of halogenated phosphorus, sulfur and phosphorus, phosphates, phosphate and organophosphate pesticides.
packaging and storage: 200L metal pail. It should be stored in a cool, ventilated dedicated warehouse, away from sources of ignition. With oxidizing agents, acids, halogens and other chemicals, stored separately.
